What is BreathWork?
I tried it several times, but within 30 seconds the banana juggling chimps in my brain had me making mental Trader Joe’s shopping lists and I didn’t think meditation would ever be an option for me.
Then I discovered the power of Breathwork! It was meditation and beyond and the chimps didn’t have a fighting chance!
Meditational Breathwork is a powerful healing modality that focuses on flooding the body with oxygen to allow our own breath to heal us mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally. Medical science is just now beginning to realize the incredible healing power in our own breath.
Our bodies store all kinds of negative energy and blockages — baggage that we have acquired over the years through hurtful relationships and the unavoidable mishaps in everyday life. A single breathwork session will begin to clear the body of these blockages, leaving the mind, body and spirit realigned. It is like a defragmenting of our cerebral hard drives!
At the beginning of each class, I will walk you through all you need to know for a healing BreathWork session. It is simple and profound and you will be amazed at the joy and peace you will find at the end of the 90 minutes!
A 30,000 foot overview:
You lie face-up on a yoga mat.
You breathe in the simple, connected pattern that you will learn at the beginning of the class.
A powerful music mix envelops you as you breathe. It’s like you are in a musical cocoon!
Everyone is wrapped in their own blanket with an eye mask to block distraction.
After the initial strangeness wears off, you will find that time disappears and the healing begins.
At the end of the session there is a gentle closing and time for questions and sharing.
Some have described their session as, “an acid trip on oxygen” or “an out of body experience.” Atheists have encountered the Divine, others describe meeting angels, relatives or traveling through galaxies. We cannot guarantee fireworks or anything supernatural. But no matter what, you will leave feeling centered and grounded and the healing is beyond belief!
You really have to experience it to believe it.
Bring a yoga mat, blanket and small pillow if you have one – otherwise, we’ve got you covered!
